The Chronicles of sleep deprivation(30)
The very first time I heard of an “Overnighter” was when I was Thirteen years old. My brother (Caeleb) who was 19 at the time had been talking about this all day to his friends over the Xbox 360 Microphone and I was wondering what an “Overnighter” was. So I asked my brother what he was talking about. My brother Caeleb had explained to me that the word meant you stayed up from the time you woke up until the next day that same time and I was amazed, so I prepared myself for the challenge. I don't fully remember how long after he had told me what it was I waited to try this insane challenge but this game was my favorite game and I was determined to play it all day and night. The game was Call Of Duty Ghost. I woke up at 5 AM and played this game until around 3 PM when my parents were getting home from work and my dad would then kick me off of the TV and make me play outside. I then would go outside and knock on my neighbor's door and ask him if he would want to come outside to play and then told him about this challenge of staying up all night long until 5 AM when I had originally waken up without a thought my neighbor had said yes to this challenge, we then carried on walking down the grassy sidewalk to a little pond with our fishing poles and tackle box. We caught dozens of little Blue Gills and maybe one or two catfish. On the way home it would be around 7 PM for dinner with my family where I would walk into the house and be told I stink I smell like fish and I would have to go take a shower. Settling down for the night I was watching TV in my room when my dad had told me to go to bed. I would of course go to bed… as I closed my eyes as shut as I could attempting to look asleep as unlively as possible, it worked my mom had gone away and I was ready to get onto my games and play for the rest of the night. And for the rest of the night I would play games on the Xbox 360 with my brother, we made sandwiches in the kitchen and played Minecraft all night long. I eventually fell asleep wondering if I had completed the challenge but was this the longest I had ever stayed up before?
